AGE & EDUCATION
Did you know that getting married in your teens, or after the age of 32, increases your chance of relationship failure? Also, the more education you have the less likely it is you’ll divorce, especially compared to those who don’t complete high school.
THE WAY YOU ARGUE
Contempt and sarcasm, along with criticism and defensiveness are proven to create an atmosphere of tension that over time will erode love.

This might be surprising, but if you bring a high amount of idealism and romance into your relationship from the get-go, then you may actually cause the downfall of the relationship later on.
This is especially true as you move from the infatuation phase of the relationship to becoming more responsible with the stresses that go along with building a practical life together.
POORLY MANAGED STRESS
Perhaps one of the most important factors is how we manage life stresses, both in and outside the relationship. Poorly managed stress can destroy love as we focus too much on life’s negative pressures.
